Terms of Service

By using HSKetch (the “Service”) at hsketch.vercel.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

HSKetch is a multiplayer drawing game designed to help players learn Chinese vocabulary. The Service includes the web app, real-time game rooms, saved-flashcards system, and any related features we add over time.

The Service is offered free of charge. We may add paid features in the future; if we do, terms for those features will be presented before you opt in.

You must be at least 13 years old to use HSKetch. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You can play HSKetch as a guest with only a display name, or sign in with email or Google to save flashcards and earn XP. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

Choose a display name that is not impersonating someone else, not offensive, and not designed to mislead other players.

While using HSKetch, you agree not to:

• Draw, type, or send content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise harmful to other players.
• Cheat or use automation to gain an unfair advantage (for example, scripts that auto-guess words or replay other players' drawings).
• Attempt to disrupt the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities outside of a responsible-disclosure context, or interfere with other players' sessions.
• Use the Service to collect or scrape information about other players.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or republish the Service's source code in ways not permitted by its open-source license (if any) or by us in writing.

We may suspend or remove access for any user who violates these rules.

You retain ownership of the drawings, chat messages, and flashcard data you create. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Service (for example, sending your drawing to other players in your room).

The Chinese vocabulary list bundled with HSKetch is curated by us; you may use it within the Service but should not redistribute it as your own.

HSKetch is offered “as is” and “as available”. The Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, hosting issues, or features being updated. We do not guarantee uptime, data persistence beyond standard database backups, or that any particular feature will remain available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of the vocabulary list, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HSKetch and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or learning progress, arising from your use of the Service.

You can stop using HSKetch at any time. You can delete your saved flashcards from the home page, or request full account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security risk to the Service.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
